With an official reopening date of 17^th April, specialist shop-fitters have made terrific progress to get the Haringtons salon in Marlow fit for purpose following its devastating fire in January.

Designed by the Haringtons’ directors in consultation with YY Design, great attention has been paid to the salon’s look and feel to ensure it’s both calming and functional. The salon took 6 weeks to refit at a cost of £200,000.

In line with Haringtons’ brand identity, the walls – including noise-reducing leather clad upholstered panels – and ceilings are decorated in relaxing shades of cream.

The improved reception area sees the desk being extended to accommodate three receptionists so now, making appointments, checking-in and paying the bill are all more efficient, simpler and faster experiences. To offset the cream leather wall panels, inviting mocha chocolate coloured leather waiting seats have been custom-built to fit reception’s designated client waiting area.

The 1,700 square foot air-conditioned salon floor boasts state-of-the-art lighting to ensure shadow-free premium visibility, along with a naturally lit, separate hair colouring area which optimises the daylight flooding in through a large window.

Keeping client comfort top of mind, each of the 24 styling positions is equipped with an ergonomically designed back supporting Pietranera styling chair (from LSE) upholstered in sumptuous mocha coloured leather. 

The shampoo area features dimmable lighting and bronze-tinted glass privacy screens. There are 8 backwashes with reclining, shiatsu massage chairs – ideal to deliver the salon’s soothing, comforting head massages and Kéraspa treatments.

“The Marlow team members are super excited to be returning home and can’t wait to see all their clients again,” says Haringtons Director, David Lambert. “You can virtually smell our complimentary freshly ground coffee being brewed already!”

Open six days a week, Haringtons salons are known for their brilliant standards of ladies and gents cutting, expert colour (foils, highlights, low-lights, root re-growth and colour correction) styling (hair ups, blow dries, wedding hair, party hair) and general care and style advice.

The shopfitters are making fantastic progress with our superb refit after the fire at the Marlow Salon.

The air conditioning is in and the walls and ceilings have been plastered and decorated in a mix of soft relaxing creams. All the luxurious mocha chocolate styling chairs and reclining shiatsu massage shampoo chairs have been ordered from Italy and will be delivered in time for the proposed opening in mid April.

Kate has been very loyal to us in Northwood, putting herself forward to have funky, quirky and super up-to-date haircuts & colours, for different competitions, training sessions, and of course, her every day style.

Kate jumped at the opportunity to represent herself and the Northwood salon in the ‘Face Of’ competition.

At the salon we are so very proud of Kate, but with her amazing style, beauty and overall look, we know she is a worthy finalist, and wish her all the best in the final.
