Haringtons’ continued commitment to its expansion programme has resulted in the recent takeover of the Storm group of salons. The four salons in Bournemouth, Southampton and Winchester have an established clientele and an enviable reputation within those areas and within the hairdressing industry having been trading for over ten years. Previous owner Steve Hitchcox will now take a back seat, whilst Haringtons Directors Simon Shaw, Robert Smith and David Lambert take over the day to day running and development of the salons.

Haringtons are a seven strong group based in London and the South East. They first opened their doors nearly 20 years ago with their first salon in Maidenhead, Berkshire offering the very best service and with the philosophy that the customer is the most important person in the business.

Highly respected in the hairdressing industry, Haringtons have won many awards and are constantly invited to conduct seminars and shows in the UK and internationally. In the last year their Artistic Team has visited Thailand, Indonesia, Switzerland, Denmark, Greece and India to name but a few of the countries. They also work regularly on photo shoots for magazines at London Fashion Week and were recently invited to design the hair for the Missoni Retrospective Exhibition at the Victoria & Albert Museum in London.

The Directors of the now eleven-strong salon group have impeccable background knowledge of the industry and it is the unique blend of creative, technical and management skills that strengthen the business and their commitment to its success. The force behind them is of course the staff – a superb team of skilled stylists and technicians, all training to an exceptionally high standard via the Haringtons Education system.

“It is an exciting time for everyone” said Director Simon Shaw “our aim is to make the merger as comfortable as possible for all our staff. The companies’ philosophies are very much in line with each other, having similar structures, similar staffing levels and strong technical departments. And now the merger is in place, it’s essential that it’s business as usual in all eleven salons,” Added Shaw.
