Our Trainees – What They Say

We know the Haringtons Salons’ Apprenticeship Training Scheme is the best… but don’t just take our word for it.  This is what some of our trainees have to say about their experiences.

I’ve been at Haringtons for coming up to three years this summer. During this time, I have won many competitions within the salon and at the H awards. The first was in 2010 when I won first place for the Bonifacci award in my year. The second was in 2011 where I won the overall Colour Trophy and the Bonifacci Award amongst my own year, along with first place colour in my year. Thirdly at our recent show in 2012 I was awarded Trainee of the Year out of the whole company and I was also winner of the autumn colour project. This, by far, was one of my greatest achievements throughout the years. I feel the reason for this is my determination but also my enthusiasm for hair and my job. I have been very well supported by my trainers and my fellow members of staff throughout my time at Haringtons and also have them to thank greatly for my achievements.    Sophia Hedley – Haringtons, Southampton

Having started training at Haringtons in 2000 and completed my NVQ Level 3 and Assessor Award, I am now IQA training. I can testify that the training system is fantastic and run at a very high standard. Melanie is an awesome training head and keeps everything up-to-date and in check. I have done various competitions over the years and have had amazing support from the company, the most recent being the Redken Men NYC award, which my colleague won which gave us a prize to Vegas and was a fantastic experience.  Emma Turner – Haringtons Soho, London

I started training with Haringtons in 2004 and after three years I completed my NVQ level 3 and all the Haringtons training. I then went on to be a part of the Haringtons Junior Art team, partaking in seminars with them, showcasing and teaching. After that I was chosen to be part of L’Oréal’s ID artist programme, showcasing L’Oréal’s looks across the South West including the Channel Islands. After two years of this I joined their H3 programme, teaching day classes in latest cutting techniques. I am now an assessor within Haringtons.  Oliver Leggett – Haringtons Winchester
