Haringtons Director David Lambert’s charity work to help hairdressers in need was recognised at the prestigious Fellowship for British Hairdressing President’s Night event.
David has been raising funds for the Hair & Beauty Benevolent charity for several years and was presented with the President’s Award for his ‘consistent and understated support’ of HABB,
His fundraising efforts continue this Saturday (April 30th) when David plans to cycle 200 miles across Northern Majorca. He hopes to raise at least £1950 for the charity.
David, who works in the Haringtons salon in Beaconsfield, said: “I was surprised and delighted to win this fantastic award. I am raising much needed funds which are to be split between the Motor Neurone Disease Association (very close to my heart!) and our very own Hairdressers Benevolent which is in real need of funds, as it survives with no government funding at all.
This will bring the number of miles covered by me on a bike to just on a thousand at the same time raising much needed cash for very worthy charities.”
Visitors to Haringtons Hairdressing Group salons are also joining in the fundraising by taking part in a raffle which has already raised just over £400. With this bike ride, David has raised over £2,000 for both these charities so far.
