TAQA & IQA Training

Haringtons is accredited to run the new TAQA (Training Assessment and Quality Assurance) Assessors Award and Internal Quality Assurance Award.

A new stylist can become an assessor between six months and a year after qualifying at Level 3 NVQ in Hairdressing. The assessors’ course is six months in duration and includes both on and off the job training. The course is run twice a year and has its own dedicated course coordinator who oversees all areas of TAQA and IQA training.

This provides great opportunity to pass on the knowledge and experience they have learned to the newer members of staff.

A qualified assessor will work with the salon’s education managers, providing help and support to the trainees. After qualifying and working as an assessor for at least one year, they can train to become an Internal Quality Assurer. This training will take a further six months to one year.

Haringtons has a junior art team which can be joined by audition. Auditions are open to anyone who is a qualified stylist/technician. The junior art team members are trained in technique and presentation skills by the Head of Harington’s International Art Team. They also have the opportunity to assist the main art team with seminars and shows.
