Office Assistant/Receptionist

This role will be working Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm on a temporary basis for approximately 7 months covering maternity leave. Responsibilities include providing administrative support and general reception cover to include the maintenance of the Company’s Facebook pages, producing monthly KPI reports to deadline and the replenishment of office sundries and supplies.

The ideal candidate will have experience of working in an office environment, be productive, efficient, able to multi-task and work under pressure. A strong planner/organiser with excellent verbal and written communication, the ideal candidate will be able to use their own initiative and have sound MS Office skills.

Part-time Marketing Manager

Working 20 hours per week, this exciting, new, stand-alone role will have autonomy and creative control for all marketing strategy and delivery. Responsibilities include managing the Company website content and traditional offline marketing, working with the Salon Managers to develop a better understanding of the clients in order to maximise sales, creation, development and maintenance of the database of new business contacts to increase the market profile, developing marketing material which is professional and in keeping with the Company branding and identifying new market opportunities and ways to increase business.

The ideal candidate will be currently working within a Marketing team and looking for that next step up, or a Marketing Manager who is looking for a new challenge in an exciting, growing business. Someone with a background in retail or hospitality will be desirable, along with database experience and graphic design skills.

Senior Stylists – Maidenhead, Reading & Winchester

The ideal candidates will be experienced with a high level of expertise and knowledge of hairdressing and the industry, an on-going desire to improve and build on their skill set, be able to demonstrate personal style and appearance consistent with the Haringtons image, be an excellent team player, willing to coach other members of the team, have strong verbal communication skills, be quality and detail oriented with high standards, possess excellent time management skills and demonstrate an understanding of Health & Safety standards required in a Salon.

Trainee Hairdressers

Hairdressing at Haringtons requires technical and artistic professionals. Needing excellent communication skills and the desire to deliver a service, our stylists are the best at delivering a first class service to our clients. Within our salons there is the requirement to talk to clients technically and professionally about styles, care, colour and our vast array of L’Oreal branded products. Our stylists have the ability to communicate well on a personal and social level allowing our clients to relax feeling comfortable and being able to maintain trust in our advice and service.

Many of these skills develop with experience, however we require our trainees to already have a natural enthusiasm, a desire to learn, and good personal presentation.

All our trainees follow NVQ training courses through to Level-3. This training is weekly and held in our salon. All practical training (cutting, colouring etc), is provided by our own stylists, who hold NVQ training qualifications. A college assessor visits the salon every 2 weeks to monitor the progress of our young trainee stylists.

Trainees are paid a basic salary whilst completing their NVQ-2 course. Trainees also get four weeks holiday a year (plus Bank Holidays). The hours can be long and very hard work, but once qualified, stylists capable of building up a clientele, receive truly excellent rewards – both monetary and in job satisfaction.

As an experienced Stylist or Colourist you will have worked in an award winning salon and gained an impressive portfolio of experience ranging from practical cutting or colouring to catwalk styles. You will have an extensive knowledge of working with a professional salon team and other salon management staff.
