Henley team support ForgetMeNot, raising funds for Alzheimers Research UK

The staff in each of our Haringtons salons have chosen a charity to support. The Henley salon will be fundraising to support The ForgetMeNot team who are raising funds for Alzheimers Research UK.

This International Canoe Race starts in Devizes, Wiltshire and finishes just downstream of Westminster Bridge in central London, opposite the Houses of Parliament. The race has been held annually over the Easter Weekend since 1948 and is 125 miles long with 77 portages. The first 52 miles are along the Kennet and Avon Canal to Reading, the next 55 miles are on the River Thames to Teddington. The final 17 mile section is on the tidal portion of the River Thames. The race is a severe test of skill, physical and mental stamina and planning, with the unpredictable British weather adding a further challenge.

You can find out more about this charity by visiting their webpage here.

In support of this great charity, our receptionists will be asking you for a discretionary contribution of £1.00 with your bill (we would, of course be delighted if you could give more) and Haringtons will match your donation*.

We hope you will join us in supporting this worthy cause.

UPDATE:  We’re at our third week of fundraising, and we’re delighted to let you know that the Henley clients have raised a tremendous £202.50.  Thank you all very much!
