Session stylist Kathryn created the hair look for the show and directed the L’Oréal Professionnel Portfolio team (pictured below) who helped 11 designers show off their designs on the catwalk.
Kathryn said: “We wanted to keep the make-up look as natural as possible, as if the girls had done it themselves. The hair was pulled back into a low ponytail with little pieces pulled out as if done quickly. We put in a natural side parting and swept the hair slightly over the forehead. The lengths also had natural texture to look un-brushed.”
The Central Saint Martin’s MA Fashion course is aimed at graduates who want to pursuit long-term careers in the fashion, textile and communications industries. The course is internationally renowned and has produced such talent as Alexander McQueen, Christopher Kane and Marios Schwab.
L’Oréal Professionnel has been proud sponsor for the show since 2008. They invited Kathryn to create the look and direct the L’Oréal team of talented make-up artists and hair stylists. The show took place at the BFC Showspace, Somerset House in London.
