Securing your future as a successful hair stylist
The Advanced Apprenticeship Course at Haringtons has a pass rate of 95%. Successful Apprentices then go on to join our in-house Vardering system (accelerated in-depth training) at our London Academy before securing stylist and technician roles on our salon floor.
After successful completion of our vardering course, we provide a 6 week development course which allows the stylist/technician the chance to work through any cuts or colours they are struggling with, helps to improve any artistic skills they may have and prepares them for dealing with real clients in the salon. This provides stability and support for newly qualified staff and helps to further build their confidence.
Many of our successful apprentices continue their training to go on to become assessors, education managers, junior art team members and franchisee salon owners as well as staff at all grades including our top style director level.
Take, for example, former Haringtons Apprentice Kathryn Dartnell who started her career in the Haringtons Art Team before being picked for the L’Oreal ID Artist Programme. When she isn’t working in our Haringtons salons, Kathryn enjoys session styling on photoshoots and backstage at New York, London, Paris and Milan Fashion Weeks.
And former Haringtons Apprentice Richard Scorer went on to join the Haringtons’ Art Team before carving out a fabulous career styling hair for advertising campaigns, glossy magazines and celebrities – all while still working for us here at Haringtons!
